About
A long time Chicagoan, I have previously lived in China, France, and Japan. I use my full experience in management consulting, nonprofits, and the arts in my work and am adept at working with people from varied backgrounds.
In addition to my work as a psychotherapist in private practice, I also co-facilitate training groups for Chicago Booth MBA students via the experiential Interpersonal Dynamics course and provide bilingual clinical consultation and supervision to clinicians in the U.S. and China.
I am astute, compassionate, dynamic, and deeply committed to my clients' healing and growth. I am keenly aware of the mutual influence that individuals and groups have on one another. I engage my clients not only on the inner- and inter-personal levels, but also in the contexts of their intersecting roles and identities. I am trained to consider the individual not only on the intra- and inter-personal levels, but also in the context of the groups and systems (families, companies, subcultures) in which the individual lives, works, and plays.
I am fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and can supplement my work with advanced French and intermediate Spanish.
I hold a B.A. with honors in Economics and Public Policy Studies from the University of Chicago and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University. I have trained in improvisation and clowning with the Second City, iO, the Annoyance, Paola Coletto, and the Clown School.
