Leadership Development

  • Executive Coaching

Available for individuals and teams, executive coaching develops more effective and influential leaders as well as more cohesive teams. Grounding my work in the primary tasks and strategic objectives of the teams/organizations, I facilitate in my clients deeper understanding of themselves; of how they take up their roles; and of the intersecting complexities of their roles, authority, and objectives.

  • Communications Coaching

Available both as scalable workshop for teams or as individual coaching sessions, communications coaching utilizes principles and models from psychology, business, and improvisation (e.g., assertive communication, mutual discovery) to enhance effectiveness of clients’ communication.

  • Team and Organizational Consulting

Complex and often hidden dynamics are a universal part of any group or organization. Working with individual stakeholders and the team/organization as a whole, I help leaders and teams stay on task by helping them become more effective at unearthing, distilling, understanding, and leading through, complex dynamics that impact team/organizational performance.

  • Team Building

Using principles, exercises, and models distilled from improvisation, business, and psychotherapy, I deliver custom and scalable workshops to each client organization/team that are impactful and effective in building team cohesion.

  • Training Groups (T-Groups)

I have facilitated t-groups for ten years, including currently at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. T-groups meet regularly and can be ongoing or meet for a predetermined period of time. Group members learn experientially to become more fully themselves; gain effective tools for communication, conflict resolution, feedback; and become more effective and influential leaders in their lives and work.

Clients

I have coached, consulted to, and trained leaders in business, education, government, and psychology in the U.S. and Asia, including for Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, Boston College, the A.K. Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems, and the City of Hamamatsu (Japan).
